A fabulous portrait of a large group of emigrants from 1935. This is Party No. 37 which left England on board the Otranto in August 1935 and arrived in Fremantle on 1 October 1935. George Elliott spent virtually all his life at Fairbridge Pinjarra and is known to many people. He is that very small boy in the centre towards the front (just to the left of the lady).
