Walking around the village a couple of weeks ago, a couple of things struck me. First was the fact that the South Dandalup river was flowing higher past the Pump House & the old swimming pool than I have seen in the last 7-8 years. That’s despite lean rains earlier during winter but June/July have been good months. Really good to see.

The second thing was the buildings/cottages. So much fabulous work has been done by Fairbridge on building restoration but unless someone actually lives in these buildings then they can fall into disrepair so quickly, and the able maintenance crew at Fairbridge only have limited pairs of hands. Wouldn’t it be great to have some worthy OF’s who could actually live in some of these buildings and maintain them? Just a thought.
