Following on from yesterday’s posting. A stroll around the farm in crisp winter sunshine was a real pleasure. We ducked into the Club House and workers were painting and hammering and it looks fabulous and a credit to those people who have worked on this project and made it possible. Nightingale is coming along nicely – the inside is really starting to take shape. The roof of Evelyn is now being finished so the tarpaulins are coming down. The new Caretaker’s Cottage (to be named “Elizabeth” officially on 23rd July) is finished and occupied and looking great. Work on the replica of an original 2-storey cottage (located between Exeter and the new Caretaker’s cottage) is moving along rapidly and the woodwork and brickwork look great. A really enjoyable visit.
