Today was a day to view the Fairbridge Museum in the Clubhouse. This is a truly phenomenal place to visit for anyone having links with Fairbridge or just having a bent for history! Many thousands of hours must have been devoted by Jan Churchill and her assistants, supporters and the Old Fairbridgians Association in acquiring, cataloguing and presenting such a wide range of Fairbridge period artefacts, photos and documents. The historical scope covers the time from the inception of Fairbridge all the way to its closure. We took a few photos in there today and they are included under “Fairbridge Museum” in the “Photograph & Image Albums” section of this website. A sojourn in the Museum is a time of reflection, searching for familiar faces and a glimpse into the lifestyles of Fairbridge staff and children across the decades. Congratulations to Jan, the OFA, and the Museum.
